Bonefish Grill

Social Hour: 3-6:30pm Every Day

Bonefish Grill, a successful chain that originated in Florida and now operates in 27 states, offers a delightful dining experience focused on fresh seafood and inventive cocktails. While I’m quite familiar with the Denver location—which has more of a singles bar vibe—the Summerlin spot on Charleston Blvd provides a dining-oriented atmosphere with a somewhat small bar area. This creates a cozy environment ideal for both intimate dinners and casual gatherings. There’s also a Bonefish Grill at Town Square on Las Vegas Blvd for those closer to that area.

The Social Hour at the Summerlin location runs daily from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, though their outdated Google listing mistakenly shows it as 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. During my visits, I’ve noticed that it’s not particularly busy during happy hour, making it a great choice for those who prefer a quieter setting.

To give our readers a comprehensive view, we sampled some of their specialty cocktails instead of standard mixed drinks. I tried the Mango Cocktail and the Blueberry Cocktail—both were tasty but leaned toward the sweeter side. If you prefer something less sweet, consider trying their “Aged at Sea” bourbon drinks, which I plan to explore on my next visit.

A must-try appetizer is the Bang Bang Shrimp, their most popular dish known for its crispy texture and spicy sauce. To experience a variety, I ordered the Crowd Pleaser Combo, which includes the Bang Bang Shrimp, Sashimi Tuna, and Brussels Sprouts. This trio offered a nice balance of flavors and was a satisfying start to the meal.

They also serve complimentary bread and pesto with any order. While the pesto was flavorful, the bread seemed a bit simple and plain to me. On a positive note, the service was impressively fast, both from the bartenders and the kitchen staff. Meals are served in metal trays—adding a casual touch—which was efficient and suited the overall dining experience.

In summary, Bonefish Grill in Summerlin delivers a pleasant dining atmosphere with quick service and a menu that appeals to seafood enthusiasts. When ordering specialty cocktails, be mindful that some may be on the sweeter side. The relaxed environment during Social Hour makes it a great place to unwind, and I look forward to returning to try their bourbon selections.

Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant

Area: Downtown Summerlin

Address: 11020 Lavender Hill Dr,  89135

Happy Hour: 2-7pm Monday-Friday, 11am- 7pm Saturday and Sunday

Website: Click Here

Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant is a bustling, popular gathering spot in the heart of Downtown Summerlin, and it’s easy to see why. Always busy, especially during peak hours, Pancho’s offers a lively and welcoming atmosphere that draws in locals and visitors alike. The restaurant has a small outdoor patio, but the real action is inside at the large bar area, which includes plenty of tables for seating. However, you’ll want to arrive early—this place fills up fast.

While there’s a fine dining area in the back, the bar area is where you’ll want to be for happy hour. The energy here is upbeat, with patrons enjoying good food, great drinks, and plenty of TV screens to watch sports. During my visit, I ordered the Spicy Jalapeño Margarita, and it was excellent. If you’re into spicy drinks, this one delivers a serious kick with just the right amount of heat. It’s the kind of margarita that leaves a lasting impression with its bold, fiery flavor.

For food, I tried the Botanas Especiales Combination Platter, which was a generous portion that could easily feed two people. At just $16, it felt like a steal for the amount and quality of food you get. The platter was filled with tasty appetizers, perfect for sharing or enjoying solo. Though not on the happy hour menu, I couldn’t resist trying their Don Julio shots, which were priced at just $7 each, another great deal for fans of quality tequila.

The chips and salsa were fresh, with the salsa offering a nice level of spiciness that complemented the margarita well. Pancho’s also has big-screen TVs scattered throughout the bar area, making it an ideal spot for catching a game while enjoying some drinks and snacks.

If you’re a tequila fan, Sunday nights at Pancho’s are a must-visit, as they offer 50% off any tequila from 3 PM until close. Pair that with Sunday Night Football, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a fun evening out.

Overall, Pancho’s offers a lively, vibrant experience with a menu full of great deals, delicious food, and drinks that are sure to satisfy. Whether you’re coming in for happy hour or to watch the game, Pancho’s is a fantastic spot to gather with friends and enjoy the energy of Downtown Summerlin.

Dom Demarco’s Pizzeria & Wine Bar

Area: Summerlin, Boca Park and Tivoli Village

Address: 9785 W Charleston Blvd, 89117

Happy Hour: 2-6pm Monday-Friday

Website: Click Here

Dom DeMarco’s Pizzeria & Wine Bar boldly claims to have the best happy hour in Las Vegas—a statement they display prominently on their building and website. And while I take that as a challenge to find one better someday, they may not be wrong! Located on the west side of town, this local favorite is well worth the trip for any visitor in search of quality pizza, good wine, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

Inspired by the legendary Di Fara Pizza in Brooklyn and pizza aficionado Albert Scalleat, Dom DeMarco’s brings a slice of New York to Vegas. The place exudes a casual yet cozy vibe, with a tiny bar that seats only six. However, there are plenty of high-top tables and a spacious outdoor patio, giving it a laid-back neighborhood feel. While the bar itself may be small, the service is attentive and the atmosphere inviting.

The happy hour runs from 2 PM to 6 PM, with half-off pizzas from 2 PM to 4 PM, and half-off wines, well cocktails, and select wines by the bottle until 6 PM. The drink menu is a standout—offering premium choices you rarely see discounted. I had the Justin Cabernet, a wine of exceptional quality that’s a rare find on any happy hour list.

The $11 menu features delicious offerings, and of course, I couldn’t resist trying their most popular pizza: the DiFara Special. This 12-inch pie is a true masterpiece. The cheese was long and stringy, a sure sign of top-quality ingredients, while the pepperonis were fresh and flavorful, standing out with every bite.

My bar seat neighbor had the eggplant ricotta pictured here.

The attention to detail, such as wine glasses marked for 6-oz and 9-oz pours, ensures that guests feel they’re getting exactly what they’re paying for.

One of the charming aspects of Dom DeMarco’s is its New York roots. The restaurant is licensed under the legendary DeFara name and NYC’s Domenico DeMarco, bringing an authentic slice of the Big Apple to the Las Vegas dining scene. With accolades like “Best New Pizzeria” and “Best Casual Restaurant” from local foodie sites, it’s clear that this place has earned its reputation.

In summary, Dom DeMarco’s Pizzeria & Wine Bar lives up to its bold claim of being one of the best happy hour spots in town. Whether you’re there for the half-price wine or their signature NY-style pizza, you’re in for a treat. It’s a must-visit for locals and tourists alike, and I’ll certainly be back to enjoy more of their top-tier offerings.

Yard House

Area: Town Square, Red Rock Casino, The Linq

Address:  6593 Las Vegas Blvd. 89119

Happy Hour:3-6pm Monday-Friday, 10pm-Close

Website: Click Here

Yard House, a regional chain with three locations in Las Vegas (Town Square, Red Rock Casino, and The Linq on the Strip), is a popular spot for craft beer lovers and those looking for a lively happy hour experience. Yard House has established itself as a go-to destination for great beer, tasty food, and a casual, fun atmosphere.

Happy Hour Highlights: One of the best reasons to visit Yard House is their fantastic happy hour, featuring half-off food and a wide selection of cheap beers. With so many choices, there’s something for everyone, from appetizers to more filling options, all at a great price. And of course, the craft beer selection is top-notch, boasting an impressive array of local and regional brews on tap. One standout I tried was the Love Lady Love Triangle Amber, which offered a smooth, rich flavor perfect for beer aficionados.

Yard House offers three beer sizes, including their signature Yard, a massive 3-foot-tall beer that is an experience in itself. If you’re unsure what to order, the bartenders are extremely courteous and love offering samples to help you pick your favorite brew.

Food and Drinks: While the beer is the star of the show, the food doesn’t disappoint. I had the Tuna Poke Nachos, which come with crispy tortilla chips topped with spicy ahi poke, avocado, and little black strips of nori (seaweed). The nori adds a nice touch of flavor, though the poke was a bit chewy, suggesting it may have been frozen. That said, the dish was still enjoyable overall. For those who like some heat, the spicy jalapeños and melted cheese toppings are a great addition.

Ambiance: No matter where you sit, you won’t miss any of the action—there are TVs everywhere, making Yard House an ideal place to watch a game. The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming, with a good balance of energy and comfort. If you prefer outdoor seating, the patio area offers a nice break from the bustling indoor bar scene. It’s spacious and comfortable, perfect for enjoying drinks with friends or just taking in the atmosphere.

Room for Improvement: While most of the experience was great, one downside was the bathroom’s trough urinal, which reminded me of the downright prehistoric restrooms back in the day at the Sebring Florida 12-hour race. A small nitpick, but it doesn’t quite match the rest of the restaurant’s otherwise polished feel.

Final Thoughts: Yard House at Town Square offers an excellent combination of tasty food, a massive beer selection, and a laid-back atmosphere. Whether you’re there for happy hour or just catching a game, it’s easy to see why this spot remains popular with locals and tourists alike. With its friendly service, great outdoor seating, and unbeatable happy hour deals, Yard House is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Las Vegas.

The drink was not only well-crafted but also perfectly suited to the elegant setting of Fleming’s.
  • Charcuterie n Cheese Plate: For my food selection, I opted for the Charcuterie n Cheese Plate, which was nothing short of amazing. The plate was beautifully presented and generously portioned, offering a variety of flavors and textures that completely filled me up. It’s a great option for those looking to indulge in something savory and satisfying during happy hour.

Experience:

  • Service: The bar staff at Fleming’s is exceptionally polite and professional, adding to the upscale experience. Their attentive service ensures that you feel well taken care of, whether you’re enjoying a quiet drink alone or catching up with friends.
  • Ambiance: The quiet and refined atmosphere at Fleming’s makes it a standout choice among happy hour spots in Summerlin. It’s the kind of place where you can have a conversation without shouting, making it perfect for more personal or intimate gatherings. The ample seating around the bar area further enhances the experience, offering a comfortable and inviting space to relax.

Room for Improvement:

  • Longevity of Happy Hour: While the Social Hour at Fleming’s is a fantastic addition to the local happy hour scene, it feels like an experiment that may not last. There’s a sense of urgency in hoping that more patrons will discover and appreciate this hidden gem, ensuring that the happy hour offerings remain a permanent fixture. With such great food and drink options, it’s easy to wish for more foot traffic to keep this elegant happy hour alive.

Final Thoughts: Fleming’s Steakhouse on West Charleston is a welcome newcomer to the Summerlin happy hour scene, offering a refined and elegant experience that stands out from the typical bar crowds. The Time is Honey cocktail and Charcuterie n Cheese Plate are just two examples of the high-quality offerings available during their Social Hour. The quiet, sophisticated ambiance and professional service make it an excellent spot for meeting up with friends or enjoying a peaceful date night. However, given the experimental nature of this happy hour, it leaves you hoping that more people will discover and support it, ensuring that this exceptional Social Hour becomes a lasting tradition. If you’re looking for a more refined happy hour experience in Summerlin, Fleming’s is definitely worth a visit.

Trattoria Reggiano

Area: Downtown Summerlin

Address: 2020 Park Centre Dr. 89135

Happy Hour: 4-6pm Monday-Friday

Website: Click Here

Trattoria Reggiano, nestled in the bustling Downtown Summerlin, is one of two locations, with the other situated at the Venetian. This Italian-themed restaurant captures the essence of a traditional trattoria, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. The outdoor seating area is small but charming, reminiscent of the quaint patios in Little Italy, New York City. It’s a prime location on the outdoor mall, allowing diners to enjoy their meal while soaking in the lively surroundings.

Food and Drink

The menu at Trattoria Reggiano is a delightful journey through classic Italian cuisine, with a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes. I started with the Caprese Bruschetta, priced at $10. This dish consisted of fresh tomato, creamy cheese, fragrant basil, and a drizzle of olive oil, served along two pieces of toasted bread. While the flavors were undoubtedly fresh and tasty, the portion felt a bit small for the price, leaving me wanting more.

To satisfy my appetite, I also tried the Eggplant Rollatini, which was a pleasant surprise. For just $10, this dish featured three pieces of eggplant rolled in parmesan cheese and fried to perfection. The combination of the tender eggplant with the crispy, cheesy exterior was absolutely delicious and left me craving more. It’s a dish I would highly recommend to anyone visiting.

One of the standout items during happy hour is the homemade meatballs, a favorite among regulars. Normally priced at $18 on the dinner menu, they are offered at just $12 during happy hour. These meatballs are a must-try, bursting with flavor and embodying the comforting essence of Italian home cooking. Interestingly, many of the happy hour food items are not listed on the regular dinner menu, making happy hour a great time to explore unique offerings.

Bar and Happy Hour Experience

The bar at Trattoria Reggiano, though somewhat small, is often not very busy during happy hour, which means seating is usually available. This makes it a perfect spot for those who prefer a quieter, more relaxed environment to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat. The focus at this location is clearly more on the dining experience than the bar scene, and it shows in the quality and presentation of the food.

Overall Experience

Trattoria Reggiano in Downtown Summerlin offers a delightful blend of traditional Italian flavors in a warm and welcoming setting. While some items, like the Caprese Bruschetta, may feel a bit light for the price, the overall experience is satisfying, particularly with dishes like the Eggplant Rollatini and the homemade meatballs. The happy hour menu is especially appealing, offering great value for money with items that you might not find on the regular dinner menu.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxed meal with friends or a quiet spot to enjoy a drink, Trattoria Reggiano delivers a charming and authentic Italian dining experience, enhanced by the fun and lighthearted ’80s music that plays in the background. It’s a place where you can savor the simple pleasures of good food, good company, and a cozy atmosphere.

Nittaya’s is a charming hidden gem at the end of the plaza at Rampart and Lake Mead, discreetly tucked behind two large trees. Arriving early at around 3:30 PM offers a peaceful start, but it noticeably livens up around 4:30 PM with a bustling crowd.

The water infused with orange and apple slices provides a refreshing twist, though the absence of liquor might be a drawback for some. The Happy Hour wine selection includes Ballard Lane Central Coast Cabernet, which initially underwhelms but improves once it has time to breathe.

Nittaya’s happy hour is a great deal, featuring $8 tapas and $8 wines, along with $2 off domestic draft beers. Thursdays offer an especially popular deal: half-price bottles of wine, making it an ideal night to explore their wine list affordably.

The tapas menu is diverse and creatively crafted, with secretive sauces that add an element of intrigue. The Secret Stickers, although deep-fried pot stickers, come highly recommended for those who enjoy fried delicacies, though they weren’t quite to my taste. Other tapas options cater to various preferences, ensuring something for everyone. Tread lightly though as some Tapas have quite the spicy bite!

During “Fine Time,” which runs from Monday to Friday, 2 pm to 5 pm, you can enjoy all bird-marked drinks for just $5 and half-priced food items. This creative theme adds an element of fun and discovery as you explore the menu.

Delicious Drinks and Food

I had the pleasure of trying the Summer Linen and Panda Bear cocktails. Both were delightful, but the Summer Linen stood out with its refreshing flavors, making it a steal at $5 compared to the regular $12 price. For food, I sampled the Tuna Sandwich, which was generously portioned with fresh ingredients and toasted bread, and the Mom’s Banana Bread, which was unexpectedly delicious and possibly the best I’ve ever had.

Energetic and Attentive Staff

The staff at Fine Company are young, energetic, and eager to please. Despite a brief mix-up where my Tuna Sandwich was delivered to another table, they quickly rectified the mistake, apologizing and offering complimentary Banana Bread along with my corrected order. Their prompt and courteous handling of the situation was commendable and showcased their commitment to excellent service. Mistakes happen in life, and it’s not the mistakes we make that identify who we are, it’s how we respond to our mistakes that makes us. The staff did an outstanding job rectifying the mistake, and I commended them for their commitment to excellence.

Comfortable Seating Options

The indoor seating includes tables for two, four, and booths for six, along with the 12-seat communal table. The outdoor area is equally inviting with plenty of tables for four. Whether you’re dining solo, with a partner, or in a group, there’s a perfect spot for you at Fine Company. The bill, presented in a cute wooden holder, was pleasantly surprising – two cocktails and a large Tuna Sandwich with a side salad came in under $20.

Final Thoughts

Fine Company is a fantastic spot for a date or a casual outing in Downtown Summerlin. With its charming ambiance, excellent value, and attentive service, “Fine Time” at Fine Company is a happy hour experience you won’t want to miss. Highly recommended for couples and groups looking to enjoy a delightful evening in a beautiful setting.
