Hawthorn Grill is one of Summerlin’s upscale dining hotspots, perfectly reflecting the refined image of the JW Marriott. Nestled inside the Rampart Casino on Rampart Blvd and Summerlin Parkway, it’s a popular destination for locals and off-strip conventioneers alike, conveniently near Tivoli Village shops and other eateries.
Happy Hour runs from 4–6 PM and sets the stage for an exceptional experience. The ambiance is with American classic steakhouse, with bar area ideal for after-work or pre-dinner drinks, a cozy dining room for family dinners or intimate dates, and an expansive outdoor patio. The patio, one of the best in the area, overlooks a serene Zen garden and river walk—perfect for a relaxing stroll after your meal.
During my visit, I opted for an Orange Mule, a delightful twist on the traditional lime-based mule. Its vibrant, citrus-forward flavor paired superbly with the glazed wings I ordered—five perfectly cooked and glazed wings that didn’t disappoint. Although I typically prefer an Old Fashioned, the Orange Mule’s refreshing taste, combined with a complimentary bottomless bowl of popcorn, made for a memorable Happy Hour offering.
The service was top-notch, with Byrd, the bartender, impressing with his extensive knowledge of whisky flavors despite not being a drinker himself. Although the cell signal was weak, free WiFi helped me stay connected as I enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere.

The Cheesecake Factory may be best known for its family-friendly ambiance and extensive menu, but don’t sleep on its Happy Hour, served 4–6pm Monday through Friday. In Las Vegas alone, there are four convenient locations—Boca Park, Green Valley Ranch, Caesars Forum Shops, and the North Premium Outlets—but I opted for the Boca Park spot this time around. The parking lot at Boca Park can be a bit hectic, yet once inside, the welcoming environment and vast menu easily justify the minor hassle of finding a spot.
Despite its reputation as a go-to destination for families, the Cheesecake Factory’s Happy Hour is surprisingly appealing. The bar stools might be a bit stiff, but the bar area itself offers plenty of seating, and there’s also a nice outdoor patio if you prefer to dine al fresco. Happy Hour choices are available only in the bar area though. One small caveat for sports fans: you’ll only find one small TV, so it’s not exactly a sports bar.
Where the Cheesecake Factory really shines is in its wide-ranging Happy Hour food offerings. At $9 or $10, you can choose from a generous variety of items—a standout for me was the Thai Chili Shrimp, which comes in a large portion (tails removed for easy eating) and a touch of sweet heat. Meanwhile, the $8.50 Long Island Ice Tea offers a solid value for those craving a classic cocktail. In typical Cheesecake Factory fashion, you’ll find calorie counts listed on the menu, which can help you stay mindful if you’re counting. And don’t forget the complimentary bread and butter—a comforting staple that’s part of the experience.
Although the massive placemats felt a bit clunky, I understand their practicality in such a high-traffic, family-focused environment. All in all, the Cheesecake Factory’s Happy Hour delivers a balance of affordability, variety, and convenience. The next time I visit, I’ll make sure to arrive with a bigger appetite and a thirst for more of their vast menu—and perhaps save room for a slice of the famous cheesecake to top it all off.

Bonefish Grill, a successful chain that originated in Florida and now operates in 27 states, offers a delightful dining experience focused on fresh seafood and inventive cocktails. While I’m quite familiar with the Denver location—which has more of a singles bar vibe—the Summerlin spot on Charleston Blvd provides a dining-oriented atmosphere with a somewhat small bar area. This creates a cozy environment ideal for both intimate dinners and casual gatherings. There’s also a Bonefish Grill at Town Square on Las Vegas Blvd for those closer to that area.
The Social Hour at the Summerlin location runs daily from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, though their outdated Google listing mistakenly shows it as 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. During my visits, I’ve noticed that it’s not particularly busy during happy hour, making it a great choice for those who prefer a quieter setting.
To give our readers a comprehensive view, we sampled some of their specialty cocktails instead of standard mixed drinks. I tried the Mango Cocktail and the Blueberry Cocktail—both were tasty but leaned toward the sweeter side. If you prefer something less sweet, consider trying their “Aged at Sea” bourbon drinks, which I plan to explore on my next visit.
A must-try appetizer is the Bang Bang Shrimp, their most popular dish known for its crispy texture and spicy sauce. To experience a variety, I ordered the Crowd Pleaser Combo, which includes the Bang Bang Shrimp, Sashimi Tuna, and Brussels Sprouts. This trio offered a nice balance of flavors and was a satisfying start to the meal.
They also serve complimentary bread and pesto with any order. While the pesto was flavorful, the bread seemed a bit simple and plain to me. On a positive note, the service was impressively fast, both from the bartenders and the kitchen staff. Meals are served in metal trays—adding a casual touch—which was efficient and suited the overall dining experience.
In summary, Bonefish Grill in Summerlin delivers a pleasant dining atmosphere with quick service and a menu that appeals to seafood enthusiasts. When ordering specialty cocktails, be mindful that some may be on the sweeter side. The relaxed environment during Social Hour makes it a great place to unwind, and I look forward to returning to try their bourbon selections.

Dom DeMarco’s Pizzeria & Wine Bar boldly claims to have the best happy hour in Las Vegas—a statement they display prominently on their building and website. And while I take that as a challenge to find one better someday, they may not be wrong! Located on the west side of town, this local favorite is well worth the trip for any visitor in search of quality pizza, good wine, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Inspired by the legendary Di Fara Pizza in Brooklyn and pizza aficionado Albert Scalleat, Dom DeMarco’s brings a slice of New York to Vegas. The place exudes a casual yet cozy vibe, with a tiny bar that seats only six. However, there are plenty of high-top tables and a spacious outdoor patio, giving it a laid-back neighborhood feel. While the bar itself may be small, the service is attentive and the atmosphere inviting.
The happy hour runs from 2 PM to 6 PM, with half-off pizzas from 2 PM to 4 PM, and half-off wines, well cocktails, and select wines by the bottle until 6 PM. The drink menu is a standout—offering premium choices you rarely see discounted. I had the Justin Cabernet, a wine of exceptional quality that’s a rare find on any happy hour list.
The $11 menu features delicious offerings, and of course, I couldn’t resist trying their most popular pizza: the DiFara Special. This 12-inch pie is a true masterpiece. The cheese was long and stringy, a sure sign of top-quality ingredients, while the pepperonis were fresh and flavorful, standing out with every bite.
My bar seat neighbor had the eggplant ricotta pictured here.
The attention to detail, such as wine glasses marked for 6-oz and 9-oz pours, ensures that guests feel they’re getting exactly what they’re paying for.
One of the charming aspects of Dom DeMarco’s is its New York roots. The restaurant is licensed under the legendary DeFara name and NYC’s Domenico DeMarco, bringing an authentic slice of the Big Apple to the Las Vegas dining scene. With accolades like “Best New Pizzeria” and “Best Casual Restaurant” from local foodie sites, it’s clear that this place has earned its reputation.
In summary, Dom DeMarco’s Pizzeria & Wine Bar lives up to its bold claim of being one of the best happy hour spots in town. Whether you’re there for the half-price wine or their signature NY-style pizza, you’re in for a treat. It’s a must-visit for locals and tourists alike, and I’ll certainly be back to enjoy more of their top-tier offerings.

Nittaya’s is a charming hidden gem at the end of the plaza at Rampart and Lake Mead, discreetly tucked behind two large trees. This positioning perhaps inspired the name and adds a sense of discovery and mystery to the dining experience. Arriving early at around 3:30 PM offers a peaceful start, but it noticeably livens up around 4:30 PM with a bustling crowd.
The water infused with orange and apple slices provides a refreshing twist, though the absence of liquor might be a drawback for some. The Happy Hour wine selection includes Ballard Lane Central Coast Cabernet, which initially underwhelms but improves once it has time to breathe.
Nittaya’s happy hour is a great deal, featuring $8 tapas and $8 wines, along with $2 off domestic draft beers. Thursdays offer an especially popular deal: half-price bottles of wine, making it an ideal night to explore their wine list affordably.
The tapas menu is diverse and creatively crafted, with secretive sauces that add an element of intrigue. The Secret Stickers, although deep-fried pot stickers, come highly recommended for those who enjoy fried delicacies, though they weren’t quite to my taste. Other tapas options cater to various preferences, ensuring something for everyone. Tread lightly though as some Tapas have quite the spicy bite!
For those who prefer dining al fresco, the patio offers plenty of outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying pleasant weather. Inside, the decor is cozy and inviting, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The combination of indoor and outdoor seating makes Nittaya’s an excellent choice for any dining preference.
Nittaya’s Secret Kitchen provides a delightful experience with its intriguing setting, secretive culinary twists, and appealing happy hour deals. While the drink options might be limited for some, and not all dishes may suit every palate, the overall charm and value make it a worthy visit. The hidden location adds a sense of adventure, and the friendly, attentive staff enhance the dining experience, ensuring guests feel welcome and well taken care of. Whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to unwind or a lively place to socialize, Nittaya’s Secret Kitchen offers a unique and enjoyable dining experience that’s sure to leave a lasting impression.

If you’re looking for a lively spot to enjoy a relaxed happy hour in the Tivoli or Boca area, 90 Ninety Bar and Grille inside Suncoast Casino is a solid choice. The bar area is spacious, with plenty of room at the tables even if the bar itself is packed. The clientele here are typically local gamblers, adding to the friendly, laid-back vibe.
One standout menu item is the Grilled Chicken Nachos, a generous portion perfect for sharing and priced at just $10.75. It’s no wonder this dish is a crowd favorite. If you’re looking for a healthier option, the Spinach and Artichoke dip is a great choice at $6.75, nearly half off the regular price.
Another intriguing item on the happy hour menu is the plate of fresh potato chips with dill pickle dip, also priced at $6.75. When I first tried it, the portion was disappointingly small, but the chips were delicious. Given its popularity, I would expect the portions to be more satisfying now.
Drink specials are also impressive, with great prices on beer and wine. For cocktails, you can either get $2 off specialty drinks or opt for the Happy Hour Amsterdam Martini, which is the best deal. I recommend trying it dirty with extra olives – a classic choice.
The atmosphere at 90 Ninety is enhanced by live music in the evenings, creating a vibrant and enjoyable environment. The bar and wait staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring you have everything you need for a great time.
Beyond the bar, Suncoast Casino offers an excellent movie theatre and bowling alley, with an all-new sportsbook coming soon. Overall, 90 Ninety Bar and Grille is a fantastic spot for happy hour, especially if you’re planning to enjoy other amenities at the casino.
