Ambiance: 595 Craft And Kitchen is the kind of place that perfectly embodies the charm of a neighborhood dive bar, but with a twist—an impressive selection of craft beers that would make any beer enthusiast’s heart skip a beat. The laid-back, unpretentious atmosphere immediately makes you feel at home, whether you’re a local or just dropping by. The bar’s name is a nod to their extensive craft beer selection, which is prominently featured throughout their menu.

Happy Hour Offerings:

  • Time: 3 PM – 6 PM (Regular Happy Hour) and 11:30 PM – Close (Late Night Happy Hour)
  • Discount: 20% off any item on the menu marked with a beer glass icon during happy hour.

Menu Highlights:

  • Beer Selection: The beer selection is extensive, with Russian River beers taking center stage, but a variety of other brands are available as well. Matt, the bartender, recommended the Dead Leaf Green amber, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The craft beer menu is one of the most impressive aspects of 595 Craft And Kitchen, catering to a wide range of tastes.
  • Buffalo Chicken Tacos: For my meal, I opted for the Buffalo Chicken Tacos. These weren’t your average tacos; they were generously stuffed with flavorful chicken and served in soft tortillas. The portion size was substantial, making them a fulfilling choice that paired well with the craft beer.

Experience:

  • Service: One of the standout aspects of 595 Craft And Kitchen is the service, particularly from Matt, the bartender. Matt is a true beer aficionado with a deep knowledge of craft beers. He’s passionate about what he does and loves talking about beer with customers, making recommendations, and sharing his expertise. His friendly and welcoming demeanor enhances the overall experience, making you feel like a regular even on your first visit.
  • Bar Features: The bar itself has some unique touches, like the stainless steel strip that runs along the bar top, keeping your drinks cold. It’s a small detail, but one that adds to the overall comfort and enjoyment of the experience.
  • Ambiance: The dive bar feel is something that really stands out at 595 Craft And Kitchen. It’s the kind of place where no one judges you for who you are; they’re just happy to have you there. It’s a local favorite for a reason, and it’s easy to see why it’s now one of my favorites too.

Room for Improvement:

  • Bar Top Surface: If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be the bar top surface. It looks a bit unfinished and could use some refinement to match the otherwise welcoming atmosphere of the bar.

Final Thoughts: 595 Craft And Kitchen is a hidden gem in Las Vegas, offering an exceptional happy hour experience that combines great craft beers, tasty food, and a welcoming dive bar ambiance. The 20% discount on select menu items during happy hour is a nice perk, especially given the quality and variety of the offerings. The knowledgeable and friendly service, particularly from Matt the bartender, is a major highlight, making each visit feel like catching up with an old friend. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, 595 Craft And Kitchen is definitely worth a visit. With its relaxed vibe, impressive beer selection, and hearty food, it’s the kind of place that quickly becomes a favorite. Just be prepared to be hooked after your first visit—I know I was.

Nittaya’s Secret Kitchen

Area: Lake Mead & Rampart

Address: 8427 W Lake Mead Blvd. 89128

Happy Hour: 3-6pm Monday-Thursday

Website: Click Here

Nittaya’s is a charming hidden gem at the end of the plaza at Rampart and Lake Mead, discreetly tucked behind two large trees. This positioning perhaps inspired the name and adds a sense of discovery and mystery to the dining experience. Arriving early at around 3:30 PM offers a peaceful start, but it noticeably livens up around 4:30 PM with a bustling crowd.

Drinks

The water infused with orange and apple slices provides a refreshing twist, though the absence of liquor might be a drawback for some. The Happy Hour wine selection includes Ballard Lane Central Coast Cabernet, which initially underwhelms but improves once it has time to breathe.

Happy Hour Highlights

Nittaya’s happy hour is a great deal, featuring $8 tapas and $8 wines, along with $2 off domestic draft beers. Thursdays offer an especially popular deal: half-price bottles of wine, making it an ideal night to explore their wine list affordably.

Tapas and Food

The tapas menu is diverse and creatively crafted, with secretive sauces that add an element of intrigue. The Secret Stickers, although deep-fried pot stickers, come highly recommended for those who enjoy fried delicacies, though they weren’t quite to my taste. Other tapas options cater to various preferences, ensuring something for everyone. Tread lightly though as some Tapas have quite the spicy bite!

Seating and Atmosphere

For those who prefer dining al fresco, the patio offers plenty of outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying pleasant weather. Inside, the decor is cozy and inviting, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The combination of indoor and outdoor seating makes Nittaya’s an excellent choice for any dining preference.

Overall Experience

Nittaya’s Secret Kitchen provides a delightful experience with its intriguing setting, secretive culinary twists, and appealing happy hour deals. While the drink options might be limited for some, and not all dishes may suit every palate, the overall charm and value make it a worthy visit. The hidden location adds a sense of adventure, and the friendly, attentive staff enhance the dining experience, ensuring guests feel welcome and well taken care of. Whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to unwind or a lively place to socialize, Nittaya’s Secret Kitchen offers a unique and enjoyable dining experience that’s sure to leave a lasting impression.

Echo & Rig

Area: Tivoli Village

Address: 440 S Rampart Blvd. 89145

Happy Hour: 3-6pm Monday- Friday

Website: Click Here

Echo & Rig is a vibrant and bustling spot in the heart of Tivoli Village, making it a popular destination for happy hour enthusiasts. The ambiance is enhanced by the large window wall that opens up to the village center, creating an open and inviting atmosphere. The fun and lively environment is perfect for both casual gatherings and more lively meetups. Arriving as soon as the doors open at 3 PM from Monday to Friday is key, as the place quickly fills up. By 4 PM, all the bar seats are typically occupied, but fear not—additional seating is available at the surrounding tables in the bar area.

Happy Hour Offerings:

  • Premium Well Cocktails: Half off, offering a range of quality spirits at a fraction of the regular price.
  • House Wines: $5 each, providing a nice selection of reds and whites to suit any palate.
  • Beers: Half off, perfect for beer lovers looking to enjoy their favorite brews at a discounted rate.
  • $3 Cocktail: The Gin Pomegranate Spritz is the star of the show, a refreshing and delicious cocktail that’s hard to beat at this price. Although the featured $3 cocktail occasionally changes, the Gin Pomegranate Spritz is a staple and a crowd favorite.

Menu Highlights:

  • The $3 Gin Pomegranate Spritz is an absolute steal, combining the crispness of gin with the sweet-tart flavor of pomegranate. It’s a refreshing choice that perfectly complements the lively atmosphere.
  • The food menu, though limited to three items, does not disappoint. The hot dog is the signature happy hour special. Despite typically avoiding meat, I couldn’t resist trying it, and it did not disappoint. Served with sauerkraut and priced at only $3, it’s a delightful and savory option.
  • The Butcher Fries are another standout item. Priced at $5, these fries are served in a bowl with small slices of prime steak and drizzled with Teriyaki sauce. The portion size is generous, making it more than enough for a hearty snack or a light meal.

Experience:

  • One minor downside is that the food delivery can be a bit slow, but this slight delay offers the perfect opportunity to savor a second $3 cocktail, turning a potential inconvenience into a pleasant extension of the happy hour experience.
  • The total bill for two cocktails, a hot dog, and a bowl of fries came to an astonishingly low $12. Considering that even a basic Subway sub can cost more these days, this is an exceptional value.
  • The service at Echo & Rig is top-notch. Given the excellent value of the food and drinks, tipping generously is highly recommended. A 50% tip on such a low tab not only shows appreciation but also recognizes the high level of service provided.

Additional Highlights:

  • The lively atmosphere at Echo & Rig is perfect for winding down after a long day or kicking off a fun evening out. The crowd is friendly, and the open wall to Tivoli Village adds a unique and enjoyable touch to the experience.
  • Beyond the great drinks and food, the ambiance is enhanced by the lively chatter of patrons and the pleasant views of Tivoli Village, making it a great spot to relax and people-watch.

Final Thoughts: Echo & Rig’s happy hour is a hidden gem in Tivoli Village. With unbeatable prices, delicious food, and a vibrant atmosphere, it’s an ideal destination for anyone looking to enjoy a high-quality happy hour experience without breaking the bank. Whether you’re sipping on a Gin Pomegranate Spritz, indulging in a hot dog, the Steak and Egg, or savoring the Butcher Fries, Echo & Rig promises a memorable and satisfying experience. The George

Address: 6915 S Durango Dr. 89148

Happy Hour: 3-6pm Monday-Friday

Website: Click Here

Overview: Located within the Durango Resort, The George stands out as the sole restaurant offering a happy hour among a diverse selection of dining options, including Bel-Aire Lounge, Nicco’s, Mijo’s Modern Mexican, Summer House, and the food court Eat Your Heart Out. Additionally, the center bar, Oasis Lounge, adds to the resort’s appeal. Although I didn’t explore the food court options, it’s worth noting that they offer a variety of food choices that might include their own happy hour deals.

Happy Hour Details:

  • Venue: The George
  • Setting: Outdoor patio (closed during extreme heat)

The George: The George is the quintessential sports bar and sportsbook, featuring an impressive array of TV screens so you can catch all the action from every angle. Its vibrant sports atmosphere is accentuated by the lively setting, making it a great spot for sports enthusiasts and casual patrons alike. The George offers its happy hour exclusively on the outdoor patio, where you can enjoy the action with a side of live entertainment on select evenings. However, during my visit, the patio was closed due to an excessive heat wave.

Happy Hour Menu: The happy hour menu at The George boasts some appealing deals, with a variety of options that cater to different tastes. I’ve included a photo of the menu here so you can check out the great offers for yourself. Even though the patio was off-limits during my visit, the value and quality of the happy hour items are worth noting and make it a destination worth revisiting.

Atmosphere and Experience: The George is a standout spot for sports fans, with its dynamic sports book environment and ample TV screens that keep you immersed in the action. The outdoor patio, when open, provides a more relaxed and enjoyable setting for happy hour, complemented by occasional live entertainment that enhances the overall experience. Given the impressive setup, a visit during a game night would likely provide an even more immersive atmosphere.

Other Dining Options: While The George is the only restaurant at Durango Resort offering a happy hour, the other dining venues like Bel-Aire Lounge, Nicco’s, Mijo’s Modern Mexican, and Summer House each provide unique dining experiences. Although they do not offer happy hours, they contribute to the overall dining variety at the resort.

Location and Accessibility: The Durango Resort offers a well-rounded selection of dining and entertainment options, making it a versatile destination for food and fun. The George’s prime location within the resort and its impressive sports bar setup make it a compelling choice for a visit. While parking and accessing the resort can sometimes be a bit busy, the experience and atmosphere are well worth it.

Overall Experience: Happy hour at The George is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a great deal in a top-notch sports bar setting. Although the patio was closed during my visit due to the heat, the combination of excellent happy hour deals, an extensive sports viewing setup, and the potential for live entertainment make it a standout choice. For those interested in experiencing the full ambiance, returning on a game night is highly recommended to fully appreciate the lively atmosphere and enjoy the outdoor patio. The George is undoubtedly worth a visit, both for its happy hour and its exceptional sports bar experience.
