Hussong’s Mexican Cantina

Area: Tivoli Village/Boca Park

Address: 740 S Rampart Blvd #7, 89145

Happy Hour: 3-6pm Monday- Friday

Website: Click Here

Hussong’s Boca Park is one of the more fun and laid-back happy hour stops in Summerlin. Their website lists Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 3–6 PM at the Boca Park location, which sits at 740 S. Rampart Blvd. in the always-busy shopping center.

The Boca Park location has a nice outdoor patio, and the overall feel is probably the closest thing to a dive bar in the Summerlin area—and I mean that as a compliment. It is casual, a little rowdy in a good way, and far less polished than many nearby spots. That works in its favor. Parking, however, can be a challenge, especially when Boca Park is busy.

I visited for their well-known 4/6/8 menu, and the value is excellent. Service was quick, and they brought out ample chips and salsa, which always starts things off right. I ordered a single traditional taco, the mini Sonoran dogs, and an original margarita. The food came out fast, and everything worked well together as a happy hour combination—casual, flavorful, and satisfying without trying too hard.

One tip: it helps to look at the regular menu so you know the full ingredients and details behind the happy hour items. The HH menu is streamlined, but the main menu fills in the blanks.

Hussong’s also promotes weekly specials at Boca Park, including Half Off Margarita Monday and $6 Taco Tuesday, with original and frozen margaritas, draft beer, and tacos featured all day on Tuesdays. That fits the overall spirit of the place: approachable, lively, and built for repeat visits rather than special occasions.

There are a few Hussong’s locations around town, but the Boca Park outpost stands out for its patio, neighborhood energy, and easygoing personality. It may not be polished, but that is exactly the charm. If you want a relaxed Mexican cantina with solid happy hour value and a little bit of Summerlin grit, Hussong’s is well worth a visit.

Coyote Ugly

Area: Las Vegas Blvd

Address: New York Hotel and Casino, 3790 S Las Vegas Blvd New York, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Happy Hour: 6-9pm Every Day and 11pm-2am

Website: Click Here

If you are looking for the most fun happy hour party at NYNY, Coyote Ugly makes a strong case. Located on the mezzanine level to the left of Pour 24, this is not a food-and-drink destination so much as a pre-party lounge that builds toward a full-blown nightlife scene. The venue runs daily happy hour from 6–9 PM, with $7 draft beer, $8 well cocktails, and $12 draft beer-and-a-shot specials. The bar is also free entry before 9 PM, with the first performance at 9:30 PM every night.

The catch is simple: there is no food. So the best strategy is to do your bites somewhere else in New York-New York, then come here for the drinks and atmosphere. And atmosphere is what Coyote Ugly does best. The room is built for fun, not finesse, and even during happy hour you can feel the energy building toward the later-night performances. Once the music gets going, this place shifts from casual bar to full-on entertainment venue.

I spent some time with Brittany the bartender and “T” from security, and both helped make the visit memorable. In fact, all of the employees I encountered were friendly, upbeat, and clearly good at drawing the crowd into the mood of the place. Even before the bigger shows start, the staff keeps things moving with games and interaction that get people loosened up and ready for the fun later on.

Another nice touch: happy hour comes with a wrist stamp, which helps you get back in later without dealing with the line. That makes this place especially smart as a two-step stop—come early for the cheap drinks, go elsewhere for dinner, then circle back once the dueling energy of the room really kicks in.
Bottom line: the drink menu is simple and there is no food, but Coyote Ugly is easily one of the liveliest happy hour experiences at NYNY. For value, atmosphere, and a smooth transition into late-night fun, it is definitely worth a stop.

Bar At Times Square

Area: Las Vegas Boulevard

Address: New York Hotel and Casino, 3790 Las Vegas Boulevard South New York, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Happy Hour: 4-7pm Every Day

Website: Click Here

Bar at Times Square sits inside New York-New York and bills itself as an “ultimate neighborhood bar,” with the dueling pianos as the main event. The venue’s happy hour runs nightly from 4–7 PM, and the piano show kicks in from 8 PM to 2 AM. The bar also leans hard into sports, with 14 large flat-screen TVs and a casual, come-as-you-are setup.

On paper, happy hour is straightforward: $7 draft beer, $8 well cocktails, $8 house wine, and $12 beer-and-a-shot specials. That is a decent deal on the Strip, but the selection is pretty basic. There are no specialty cocktails on the happy hour menu, only wells, so if you are someone who likes creative drinks, this one will feel limited. I went with a simple cocktail and found the pricing fair, but the menu left me wanting more.

One important clarification: the website also notes a limited food menu from 11 AM to 11 PM, but in practice this is not a place I’d choose for happy hour food, especially since New York-New York has so many stronger dining options nearby. If food matters, I’d eat elsewhere in the property first and come here for the show.

The biggest downside for me was the checkout process. You get those handheld payment kiosks at the table, and they are more annoying than helpful. I’m an engineer and still needed assistance, which was not especially easy to find in the moment.

That said, the reason to come here is not really the happy hour. It is the live entertainment. Once the dueling pianos get going, the room changes completely and becomes far more fun and energetic than it feels during the earlier drink special window.

Bottom line: happy hour here is underwhelming, but the dueling pianos are worth it. My advice is simple: do happy hour somewhere else in NYNY, then come here afterward for the music.

Il Fornaio

Area: Las Vegas Boulevard

Address: 3790 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Happy Hour: 3-6pm Every Day

Website: Click Here

Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana offers a very satisfying happy hour in the bar area only, running 3–6 PM daily. Las Vegas has two locations, one at The Venetian and the one I visited at New York-New York. The company describes its mission as delivering “the most authentic Italian experience outside of Italy,” and while that is a bold claim, this happy hour definitely makes a strong case for itself.

The NYNY location may be the largest restaurant on that floor, with a huge footprint and plenty of patio-style seating along the indoor walkway. But for happy hour, it is all about the bar. That is where the deals apply, and it turns out to be well worth grabbing a seat early.

The cocktail menu is limited, but what they do offer is very good. I ordered the Kickin’ Old Fashioned, which arrived in a somewhat small pour, but made up for it with plenty of strength and flavor. It had the kind of bold punch you want from an Old Fashioned, so even if it looked a little restrained at first glance, it delivered where it mattered.

For food, I tried the Calamaretti Fritti from the happy hour menu, and this was the surprise of the visit. Instead of a reduced-size appetizer, the portion was actually quite large, crispy, and more generous than expected. That is one thing I really appreciated here: unlike some happy hours that quietly shrink portions along with prices, Il Fornaio’s offering still feels substantial.

That is really the theme of this happy hour: limited choices, but excellent ones. It is not an overwhelming menu, but the quality is strong enough that you do not feel shortchanged. Between the well-made cocktails and the generous calamari, the whole experience felt polished, comfortable, and much more upscale than the typical casino quick-stop bar.

Overall, Il Fornaio at NYNY delivers a happy hour I would gladly return to. The bar-only rule is worth noting, but once seated, the combination of quality drinks, surprisingly ample food portions, and a polished Italian setting makes this one easy to recommend. Whether you visit here at NYNY or their other Las Vegas location at The Venetian, Il Fornaio is a happy hour worth checking out.

Hearthstone Kitchen & Cellar

Area: Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa- Summerlin

Address: 11011 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89135

Happy Hour: 4-6pm Monday- Thursday

Website: Click Here

Hearthstone is back, and that is good news for Red Rock regulars. Reopening in the same space it once occupied, and replacing Leoncito, Hearthstone brings back the large bar-centric layout, the wall of TVs, and one of the best outdoor patios at the property. The restaurant itself leans into what its website calls the “hearth & soul of Summerlin,” describing the comeback as “familiar yet fresh” with a cozy but elevated feel built around wood-fired everything.

The new Happy Hour runs Monday through Thursday from 4–6 PM, with a compact but well-priced menu: five $9 food items, three $12 pizzas, and $8 well cocktails, draft beer, and draft wine. The happy hour menu includes Roasted Garlic Hummus, Apple & Quinoa Salad, Crispy Cauliflower, Meatballs, and a half dozen oysters, while the pizzas are D.O.C., Pepperoni, and Vegan Cheese.

What I especially liked is that the portions do not feel reduced just because it’s happy hour. I ordered the half dozen oysters and a well Irish Mule. The oysters, sourced from Baja California, were excellent—fresh, clean, and served with enough accompaniments to customize each one as you please. And while the happy hour price of $9 for a half dozen is already strong, Hearthstone quietly offers an even better reason to return: Oyster Wednesday, when oysters are just $1 each all day.

The atmosphere already feels like a hit. Hearthstone was always a popular gathering place, and this version may be even better than before. The bartenders are friendly, quick, and happy to guide you through the menu, which matters in a room that can easily become your all-evening escape from the casino floor. Add in the patio, the TVs, and the wood-fired, comfort-driven menu, and Hearthstone feels like it has landed exactly where it belongs.

Bottom line: Hearthstone’s return is a win for Red Rock. Whether you come for happy hour, Oyster Wednesday, or just to decompress with a drink away from the casino noise, it’s an easy recommendation.

Electra Cocktail Club

Area: The Venetian-Palazzo

Address: 3325 S Las Vegas Blvd, 89109

Social Hour: 4-6pm Every Day

Website: Click Here

Electra Cocktail Club Social Hour (The Venetian Resort, Casino Floor)

Electra sits right on the casino floor at The Venetian, and the vibe tells you instantly: this is more lounge-club than bar. Think pulsing soundtrack, dramatic lighting, and a room designed for mingling—low banquettes, tall tables, and a striking back bar that makes every drink look like a little event. If you want a quiet martini with small talk, this isn’t it; if you want energy without going full nightclub, you’re in the right place.

A few logistics up front. Social Hour is traditionally daily from 4–6 PM, but you’ll want to confirm the day-of, because Electra sometimes shifts into event mode and Social Hour info isn’t clearly posted on their website. On my Thursday visit, the bar was running a football-night focus with a $100 minimum at the bar, which changes the math if you’re dropping in for a single round. When Social Hour is on, though, the value is real: limited specialty cocktails priced around $10 (vs. a typical $25 outside Social Hour) make a solid case for starting your evening here.

Electra is drinks-onlyno food service, and bottle service is available at tables—so plan your eats elsewhere. The menu is curated rather than sprawling: cocktails, beer, wine, and that’s the show. I went classic with a Sidecar. Nicely executed and well-chilled, it balanced citrus snap with cognac warmth without leaning sugary—a clean, confident pour. That sums up Electra in general: it’s not trying to be an encyclopedia of mixology; it’s aiming to deliver a small set of hits in a room that feels like a party even on a weeknight.

Service is nimble for a high-traffic casino venue: bartenders move fast without sacrificing polish, and servers keep the floor flowing even when the DJ turns the volume up. Seating turns quickly at Social Hour; if you’re targeting those $11 specials, arrive near 4 PM to grab a perch before the after-work surge.

Bottom line: Electra is a high-energy pregame—perfect before dinner or a show when Social Hour is live, and still a sleek late-night spot if you’re in the mood for bottle service and a club-lite atmosphere. Pro tips: 1) Call or ask host if Social Hour is active that day; 2) Expect minimums during big game nights or special programming; 3) Eat beforehand (no food here); 4) Dress smart-casual—this room deserves it. When the timing lines up, snagging a $25 cocktail for $11 in a space this stylish feels like a small Las Vegas heist—in the best possible way.

Flight Club

Area: Grand Canal Shoppes at Venetian-Palazzo

Address: 3327 Las Vegas Blvd S Suite 2720, 89109

Happy Hour: 3-6pm Sunday- Friday

Website: Click Here

Flight Club puts a playful spin on happy hour from its perch on the upper level of the Grand Canal Shoppes connecting The Venetian and The Palazzo. The space is bright and buzzy, with dart boards (oches) everywhere, polished wood, and a soundtrack that keeps the energy up without drowning conversation. The main bar anchors the far room, framed by tall windows—a great after-dark view if you’re spectating between throws.

Happy Hour is the headline: pricing is surprisingly gentle for a Strip mall venue, so sampling both drinks and bites doesn’t require budget acrobatics. The cocktail program is intentionally straightforward—brand + mixer builds—which means fast pours and no pretense. One quirk to know: Tito’s is the only vodka behind the bar. If that’s not your lane, pivot to tequila, bourbon, gin, or rum and you’ll be perfectly fine.

Food sticks the landing for social snacking. The Buffalo Chicken Sliders are the star—three large, breaded-and-fried sliders with real crunch and a tangy buffalo hit that doesn’t torch your palate. Portions are generous for the price, and service is quick enough that you won’t miss your turn waiting on refills. Everything’s engineered for shareability and interruptions—exactly what you want during a game night.

Operationally, there’s one thing to flag: they hold your credit card when you open a tab. Normally I’d bristle, but staff explained (politely and proactively) that the venue sits close to the north-end exit of the mall and they’ve had walk-outs. Knowing the why doesn’t make it delightful, but the transparency helps—and in practice, you forget about it once your tab is open.

Bottom line: Flight Club is a fun, budget-friendly detour from the usual Strip bar crawl—great for groups, pre-show meetups, or anyone who wants something interactive without a sky-high tab. Go early to lock in a bay during happy hour, grab a window table if you’re watching, and lean into simple drinks and shareables. If the card-hold policy doesn’t bother you, this is an easy, high-smile recommendation.

Chica

Area: The Venetian-Palazzo

Address: 3355 S Las Vegas Blvd St 106, 89109

Happy Hour: 3-6pm Sunday- Thursday

Website: Click Here

CHICA at the Venetian

CHICA sits right on the corner where The Venetian meets the hallway to The Palazzo, and it makes a great first impression. The centerpiece is a round bar with dining tucked behind it, so the space feels open and social without being loud. There’s a polished, modern look to the room, but the vibe stays warm and relaxed—an easy spot to slip into for a pre-show drink or a casual happy hour that turns into dinner.

On the cocktail front, the CHICA Rita is the crowd favorite, with the Palomita close behind. I went a different route: the Oaxacan Old Fashioned—crystal clear, served over a single clear ice cube, and beautifully balanced. You get the earthy smokiness of mezcal, some gentle sweetness, and a clean finish that doesn’t clobber the palate. It’s the kind of drink that looks as good as it tastes and sets the tone for the rest of the experience.

Food-wise, the Chicken Nachos are the house darling—piled high, shareable, and exactly what a hungry table hopes for. I also tried the Fried Chicken Sliders: two big, breaded, and juicy sandwiches that land in the sweet spot—flavorful without being overly spicy. Portions are generous; these actually feel like a meal, not just a token bar bite.

Service is a strong suit here. Danny, the bartender, was friendly, quick, and genuinely helpful with suggestions. He also did something more places should: he clearly explained the 18% automatic gratuity that CHICA adds to all checks. No surprises, no tiny print—just straightforward communication at the moment the bill arrives. It’s transparent and respectful, and it keeps the experience on a positive note.

Between the inviting bar, the tasty Latin-leaning cocktails, and satisfying bar food, CHICA threads the needle between chic and comfortable. It’s easy to make an evening of it: start with a round at the bar, share a plate (or two), and watch the room fill up with a mix of hotel guests and locals. If you want a classic, grab the CHICA Rita; if you prefer something smokier and spirit-forward, that Oaxacan Old Fashioned is a winner.

Bottom line: CHICA is a reliable, lively stop on the Venetian/Palazzo corridor. Solid drinks, hearty favorites like the chicken nachos and sliders, and thoughtful service make it a smart choice whether you’re easing into the night or wrapping one up. And thanks to that round bar and easygoing atmosphere, it’s also a great place to meet up—no complicated plan required.

Sushi Samba

Area: Grand Canal Shoppes at Venetian-Palazzo

Address: 3327 S Las Vegas Blvd, 89109

Samba Hour: 3-6pm Sunday- Friday and 11pm-Close

SUSHISAMBA Las Vegas — Samba Hour

Located on the second level of The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort, SUSHISAMBA Las Vegas delivers an unforgettable fusion of Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian cuisine in a lively, high-energy setting. The design is striking—a glowing orange canopy welcomes you into the “Tree Bar,” and a sweeping 125-foot curved bar gives way to an open dining room filled with color, music, and movement. It’s a restaurant that doesn’t just serve food—it creates an experience.

Their Happy Hour, called Samba Hour, runs Sunday through Friday, 3–6 PM and again from 11 PM to close. The menu offers an array of signature cocktails, sushi, and small plates at exclusive prices, making it the perfect stop before or after a show on the Strip.

The most popular Samba Hour cocktail is the Pineapple Paloma, a slightly spicy, tropical concoction that balances sweet pineapple with a gentle kick of heat. Crafted by authentic Brazilian bartenders, it captures SUSHISAMBA’s Latin flair while staying refreshingly smooth. For food, don’t miss the Crispy Yellowtail Taquitos—a playful twist on sushi served taco-style. The presentation alone makes it Instagram-worthy, but it’s the crispy shell and perfectly seasoned yellowtail that make it one of the must-try bites on the menu.

The staff are fun, professional, and clearly take pride in their craft—each cocktail is made with precision, and the pacing between drinks and dishes feels effortless.

For fans of the brand, SUSHISAMBA shares its DNA with Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill, located in the restaurant corridor between the Venetian and Palazzo, another excellent spot under the same ownership.

In all, SUSHISAMBA’s Samba Hour blends culinary artistry, Brazilian energy, and Japanese precision in a way that few Las Vegas restaurants can match. Whether you’re drawn by the cocktails, the sushi, or the electric atmosphere, it’s one of the most entertaining Happy Hour experiences.

Mijo Modern Mexican

Area: Durango Resort and Casino

Address: 6915 S Durango Dr, 89148

Happy Hour: 4-6pm Monday-Thursday

Website: Click Here

After a few months away, I was excited to dive back into the Las Vegas Happy Hour scene, and Mijo Modern Mexican did not disappoint. Nestled inside the new Durango Resort Casino, Mijo greets you with a dramatic, upscale hallway entrance that immediately sets the tone. You know from the start that you’re walking into more than just another Mexican restaurant—it’s a polished, modern dining experience. The Mexican-American staff are authentic, approachable, and genuinely knowledgeable about both food and cocktails, which adds to the welcoming vibe.

Mijo only launched its Happy Hour a couple of months ago, but they’ve already nailed it. Offered from 4–6 PM, Happy Hour delivers a fun, lively atmosphere with prices that encourage sampling. I ordered their most popular drink, the Spicy Mango Margarita. It’s everything you want in a cocktail—smooth, refreshing, and balanced with just the right amount of heat. To pair, I went with the Chicken Quesadillas. Every order at the bar also comes with a generous portion of chips and salsa, making it easy to linger over a drink and snack.

Mijo also has a stylish dining room and a lovely outdoor patio if you prefer a full-service setting. But the real trick is timing: get there around 5 PM for Happy Hour, then when it ends at 6, slip into their hidden speakeasy, The Wax Rabbit, tucked discreetly into the hallway entrance. It’s not part of Happy Hour, but its old-Vegas speakeasy vibe, luxury finishes, and soothing lighting are worth the detour. If you’re around on a Tuesday, their Taco Tuesday with a live DJ from 6–9 PM adds another layer of fun to the evening.

Mijo also has a strong online presence—its website captures the same upscale energy you’ll feel in person. Crowds build quickly later in the night, so I recommend enjoying Happy Hour first, then staying to experience the lively dinner crowd and The Wax Rabbit afterward.

Overall, Mijo is more than a Happy Hour stop—it’s a full evening experience. Excellent cocktails, authentic staff, vibrant food, and one of the best transitions from bar to speakeasy in town make it a must-visit at Durango.
